## Bambu Lab X1 Carbon The first 3D printer I ever purchased was the [Bambu Lab X1 Carbon](https://bambulab.com/en-us/x1). At the time, I knew almost nothing about 3D printing—the decision was nearly random. In hindsight, I was incredibly lucky. The X1 Carbon’s high-quality construction and user-friendly experience pulled me into the world of 3D printing right away. ### History I ordered the X1 Carbon Combo with AMS in late November 2024, and by early December, I was already up and printing. Since then, the printer has been remarkably reliable. I’ve only encountered a few minor issues: - One nozzle wore out from use. - A poor-quality filament caused a clog. - PTFE tube worn out. These part replacements can be considered consumables. Aside from that, it’s been smooth sailing. The only significant modification I’ve made is the addition of a [Bento Box](https://www.printables.com/model/272525-bentobox-v20-carbon-filter-for-bambu-lab-x1c-enclo), which reduces particles and VOCs when printing certain materials like ASA. ### Current Status This machine is still my primary prototyping printer. It's fast, consistent, and dependable. Until recently, it was my only enclosed printer, so I relied on it for all ASA prints. > [!note]- Colophon > ![[Printer Naming#K-2SO]] ![[Discussions]]
