## Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo The second printer I purchased was the [Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo](https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/a1-mini?id=579551171554607116). I was enjoying my [[K-2SO|X1C]] and wanted more print capacity. I got a great deal during their New Year's sale. I primarily use this printer for single and multi-color PLA prints. ### Current Mods - [Extruder cover decorated](https://makerworld.com/en/models/549999-bb-8-star-wars-a1-extruder-wheel-cover) as BB-8 just for fun. - [BIQU CryoGrip Pro Buildplates](https://biqu.equipment/products/biqu-panda-buildplate-cryogrip-pro-for-x1-p1-a1-printers?variant=41574696190050) ### History I initially set this up with a [top mount](https://makerworld.com/en/models/630783-a1-mini-ams-lite-rotating-top-mount-vertical-stand) and an [enclosure](https://makerworld.com/en/models/486153-ultimate-filament-spool-enclosure-type-01). I am back to using the factory stand after it knocked itself over and broke the two pieces. ### Planned Upgrades - Build-plate changer – I would like to try one of the several [build-plate changers](https://makerworld.com/en/models/925870-auto-build-plate-changer-for-a1-mini) available for the A1 mini to automate long-term printing. ### Current State - I generally leave Black, White, and Green PLA loaded to quick prototyping. > [!note]- Colophon > ![[Printer Naming#BB-8]] ![[Discussions]]
